أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ

Are your disbelievers [O Makkans] superior to those^[15] or have you been granted immunity in divine Scriptures?

[15] i.e., those destroyed peoples.
