44 : 14

وَأَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ يَوۡمَ يَأۡتِيهِمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ رَبَّنَآ أَخِّرۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ قَرِيبٖ نُّجِبۡ دَعۡوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ ٱلرُّسُلَۗ أَوَلَمۡ تَكُونُوٓاْ أَقۡسَمۡتُم مِّن قَبۡلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٖ

44. Warn people of the Day when the punishment will come to them. Then those who did wrong [through idolatry, disbelief, or other deadly sins] will say, “Our Lord, grant us respite for a short term;
we will respond Your call [to Islam], and follow the messengers.” [But it will be said to them], “Did you not swear before that that you would never perish?”
