[22]. This reminds us that every favor, blessing, and comfort we possess—be it health, wealth, safety, or guidance—comes solely from Allāh. None of these blessings arise from our own power, merit, or from others; they are all manifestations of His Mercy and Generosity. When hardship or suffering strikes, instinctively, the human heart turns away from all others and cries only to Him—the One who truly hears and responds. This natural reaction reveals the innate recognition of tawḥīd (the Oneness of God) embedded in every soul: in times of need, even those who associate partners with Him call upon Him alone.
Thus, this exposes both Allāh’s benevolence in prosperity and His sovereignty in adversity, teaching gratitude in ease and reliance in hardship.
