وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤۡمِنُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن تَأۡتِيَهُمۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ قُبُلٗا
55. And nothing prevents people [32] from believing when guidance comes to them, and from seeking forgiveness from their Lord, except that God's established way of the former peoples should come upon them, or that the punishment come before them face to face.
[32]. Who rebelled against God.
