إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يُفَرِّقُواْ بَيۡنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ نُؤۡمِنُ بِبَعۡضٖ وَنَكۡفُرُ بِبَعۡضٖ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَّخِذُواْ بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا
150. Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allāh or His messengers and who wish to make a distinction between Allāh and His messengers, saying, "We believe in some and disbelieve in others," and want to adopt a way in between [70].
[70]. Thinking that such a ‘compromise’ would put them on the road that leads to God’s Pleasure and salvation. Had they really believed in some Messengers of Allāh and listened to them with due care and attention, they would naturally have believed in the rest of the Messengers.
