فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ وَٱسۡمَعُواْ وَأَطِيعُواْ وَأَنفِقُواْ خَيۡرٗا لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
16. So fear Allāh and keep to His Commandments as much as you can, and listen and obey and spend (for the Cause of Allāh), it is better for your own selves [4]. Whoever is saved from the greediness of his own self - these are the successful.
[4]. Allah is generous, merciful, and kind, not just to some but to all—even to the ungrateful and wicked. Prophet Muhammad instructed those who desire to reflect God’s character to love, do good, and lend without expecting to get anything back.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah is generous. He loves generosity and the highest morals, and He detests pettiness". And said: “The believer is simple and generous, but the wicked person is deceitful and ignoble.”
