ಅರ್ಥಗಳ ಅನುವಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ ಅತ್ತಕಾಸುರ್ - ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಅನುವಾದ - ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಹಸನ್ ಯಾಕೂಬ್ - ಪುಟ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 600 - ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕುರ್‌ಆನ್ ವಿಶ್ವಕೋಶ

At-Takāthur

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 1

أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

1. Competition in (worldly) increase diverts you¹,

1. To the extent that you have neglected remembering Allāh (God) and the Hereafter life.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 2

حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ

2. Til you visit (i.e., end up into) the graves². 

2. I.e., die and remain in the graves temporarily until your Day of Resurrection and Judgment.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 3

كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

3. No, you will soon come to know,

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 4

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

4. Again no, you will soon come to know.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 5

كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ

5. No indeed, If you knew the knowledge of certainty,

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 6

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ

6. You will surely see Hell,

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ

7. Then you will surely see it with an eye of certainty;

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 8

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

8. Then on that Day you will be questioned about the (worldly) bliss ³.

3. That He has lavished upon you during your lives.
