85. Y quien siga una religión distinta al Islam no le será aceptada[109] y, en la otra vida, estará entre los perdedores.
[109] El Profeta Muhammad —que Al-lah lo bendiga y le dé la paz— ha sido el único Profeta enviado a toda la humanidad de todos los tiempos, por ser el último Mensajero de Al-lah. Los profetas anteriores fueron enviados a pueblos concretos, bien para recordarles su religión primigenia o inclinación natural (fitrah) con la que Al-lah creó al hombre –basada en la adoración pura y exclusiva a Al-lah– o bien para traerles nuevas revelaciones con el mismo mensaje de la unicidad de Al-lah y de la llegada del Día de la Resurrección, mas con leyes distintas adaptadas a momentos y a pueblos concretos. Los hombres que siguieron la fitrah y las enseñanzas de sus profetas sin desviarse de la verdad se consideran musulmanes, ya que se sometieron a la voluntad de Al-lah. Tras la aparición del Profeta Muhammad —que Al-lah lo bendiga y le dé la paz—, todo hombre que tenga noticias sobre el Islam tiene la obligación de abrazar esta religión y de seguir el contenido del Corán, puesto que es la única Revelación que no ha sido alterada por el hombre y prevalece sobre todas las demás. Hay varios dichos del Profeta —que Al-lah lo bendiga y le dé la paz— que tratan sobre cuatro tipos de personas que el Día de la Resurrección se excusarán ante Al-lah por no haber seguido el Islam: quienes no pudieron escuchar el mensaje, los discapacitados mentales, las personas seniles y quienes murieron siguiendo la fitrah. Al-lah pondrá a prueba su sinceridad y librará a algunos del castigo del fuego, mientras que otros caerán en él.
