إِنۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَسَأۡتُمۡ فَلَهَاۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لِيَسُـُٔواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوۡاْ تَتۡبِيرًا
7. If you do good, you do good for your own souls; but if you do evil, it is only against yourselves. Then, when the time of the second promise came to pass [8], We sent [your enemies] to cover your faces with grief, to enter the Temple as they had entered it the first time, and to destroy whatever they overpowered with [total] destruction.
[8]. We raised new enemies i.e., Nebuchadnezzar and his army against you.
