إِنۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَسَأۡتُمۡ فَلَهَاۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لِيَسُـُٔواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوۡاْ تَتۡبِيرًا

7. "If you do well, you do well for your own selves, and if you do evil, then it is for it." When the last (second) promise came to pass [7], (We raised your enemies) to sadden your faces and to enter the temple 'in Jerusalem' as they had entered it the first time, and to destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over, with utter destruction. info

[7]. We raised new enemies i.e., Nebuchadnezzar and his army against you.
