قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأَقۡعُدَنَّ لَهُمۡ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ
16. [Iblīs] said: “Because You have led me astray [5], I will surely sit in wait for them [mankind] on Your Straight Path.”
[5]. By asserting that Allāh had already decreed his misguidance, Satan set a precedent as the first to misuse the concept of predestination as an excuse for disobedience, attempting to rationalize his rebellion against the divine command.
