قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأَقۡعُدَنَّ لَهُمۡ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ
16. (Satan) said: "So, for that You have made me go astray [5], I will certainly sit in wait for them (i.e., mankind) on Your straight Path."
[5]. By citing predestination, that Allāh had already decreed him to go astray, Satan sets the record for being the first to use the predestination as a pretext for not following Allah’s command as an excuse to justify his rebelliousness against Him.
