[780] Littéralement : « l’homme aux deux cornes », roi qui domina une grande partie de la terre et qui, selon nombre de commentateurs, serait Alexandre le Grand, effectivement représenté sur les pièces de monnaie frappées à son effigie avec deux cornes de béliers. Celui qui est considéré comme le plus grand conquérant de l’Histoire atteignit les extrémités occidentale (avec l’Europe) et orientale (avec l’Inde) du monde connu à son époque en quelques années seulement, puisqu’il devint roi à seulement vingt ans et mourut à trente-trois ans. Le Coran précise toutefois, dès le début de son histoire, qu’il ne doit aucunement ce titre à son génie mais bien à l’assistance divine. Certains commentateurs doutent néanmoins que « l’homme aux deux cornes » du Coran, décrit comme un pieux croyant, puisse être Alexandre le Grand, connu pour son paganisme. Rappelons cependant qu’Alexandre le Grand est mentionné dans la Bible hébraïque.
