ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫ 64 ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߦߛߎߝߎ߫ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߞߓ. ߥߊ߬ߟߌ߯ߘ ߓߊߟߌߤߊߛ߭ ߊ.ߟߑߊ߳ߺߊߡߑߙߌ߮ ߓߟߏ߫ - ߊ߬ ߓߊ߯ߙߊ ߦߋ߫ ߛߋ߲߬ߠߊ߫. - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 64

قَالَ هَلۡ ءَامَنُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ إِلَّا كَمَآ أَمِنتُكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَخِيهِ مِن قَبۡلُ فَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ حَٰفِظٗاۖ وَهُوَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

(64) He said: “Shall I entrust you with him only as I entrusted you with his brother before! Allah is a better Guard^[2772]; He is the Most Merciful of all the merciful!”^[2773]

[2772] That he told them that God is the best Guard has led exegetes to consider this as an indication of a softer position taken by Jacob (عليه السلام) on the issue (cf. al-Rāzī, al-Alūsī). Thus his sons did not persist in their request (cf. Ibn ʿĀshūr).
[2773] That is, God Knows how old and bereaved I, Jacob, am that He will undoubtedly have Mercy on me and protect my son and return him to me (cf. al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī).
