63 : 11

قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّي وَءَاتَىٰنِي مِنۡهُ رَحۡمَةٗ فَمَن يَنصُرُنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ عَصَيۡتُهُۥۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِي غَيۡرَ تَخۡسِيرٖ

63. He said, “O my people, tell me, if I stand upon clear proof from my Lord and He has blessed me with mercy from Himself—who could help me from Allāh if I were to disobey Him? So you would not increase me except in loss.” info

64 : 11

وَيَٰقَوۡمِ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٗۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأۡكُلۡ فِيٓ أَرۡضِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٖ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابٞ قَرِيبٞ

64. O my people, this is the she-camel of Allāh—a sign for you. So let her graze freely in Allāh’s land, and do not touch her with harm in any way, lest an imminent punishment overtake you. info

65 : 11

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُواْ فِي دَارِكُمۡ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعۡدٌ غَيۡرُ مَكۡذُوبٖ

65. But they hamstrung her. So he said, “Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three [more] days. That is a promise not to be belied." info

66 : 11

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّيۡنَا صَٰلِحٗا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةٖ مِّنَّا وَمِنۡ خِزۡيِ يَوۡمِئِذٍۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡقَوِيُّ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ

66. Then, when Our command came to pass, We saved Ṣāliḥ and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us, and [rescued them] from the disgrace of that Day. Indeed, your Lord is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty. info

67 : 11

وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دِيَٰرِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ

67. The [mighty] blast seized those who had wronged [themselves through idolatry and disbelief], so they became within their homes [corpses] fallen prone. info

68 : 11

كَأَن لَّمۡ يَغۡنَوۡاْ فِيهَآۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَاْ كَفَرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدٗا لِّثَمُودَ

68. As if they had never lived [and flourished] there. Unquestionably, [the people of] Thamūd disbelieved in their Lord. No doubt, away with Thamūd [utterly removed from mercy and grace]. info

69 : 11

وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُنَآ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ قَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَآءَ بِعِجۡلٍ حَنِيذٖ

69. Our [angelic] messengers certainly came to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, “Peace.” He replied, “Peace,” and he did not delay in bringing them a roasted calf [as a meal of hospitality]. info

70 : 11

فَلَمَّا رَءَآ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيۡهِ نَكِرَهُمۡ وَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۚ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِ لُوطٖ

70. But when he saw that their hands did not reach for it, he distrusted them and felt apprehension [9]. They said, “Do not be afraid. We have been sent to the people of Lot.” info

[9]. He deemed their refraining from accepting his invitation and eating his food as an ill sign of malicious intent. If one turn down a good gesture it means that he does not want peace and is ungrateful.

71 : 11

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٞ فَضَحِكَتۡ فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهَا بِإِسۡحَٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسۡحَٰقَ يَعۡقُوبَ

71. His wife was standing [nearby], so she laughed [10]. Then We gave her the glad tidings of [the birth of] Isaac, and after Isaac, of Jacob. info

[10]. From a position of concealment, veiled in her hijab. I.e., Sarah. Either, because the messengers did not eat from their food, or for being glad for the destruction of the people of Lot.
