ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߛߘߍߟߏߟߏ ߟߎ߬ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߊ߳ߺߊߓߑߘߎ߫ ߊ.ߟߟߊ߯ߤߌ߫ ߤ߭ߛߊߣߎ߲߫ ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

Al-Burūj

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 1

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ

1. (I swear) by the heaven with its constellations,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 2

وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ

2. And by the Promised Day (of Judgment),

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 3

وَشَاهِدٖ وَمَشۡهُودٖ

3. And by the witness 'Prophet Muhammad' and that which is witnessed¹.

1. I.e., The Day of Judgment.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 4

قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ

4. Cursed be the makers of the trench.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 5

ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ

5. The fire (pit) filled with fuel (kept burning)2 -

2. To torture the believers in it.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 6

إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودٞ

6. When they themselves sat around it3,

3. As executioners and spectators.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 7

وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودٞ

7. And they (themselves), of what they doing against the believers are witnesses.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 8

وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ

8. And they resented them not except that they believed in Allāh, the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 9

ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ

9. To Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. Allāh is a Witness over all things.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ

10. Indeed, those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent, will have the torment of Gehinnom, and they will have the torment of the burning Fire.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 11

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ

11. Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have Gardens under which rivers flow - that is the great achievement.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 12

إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

12. Indeed, the Grip4 of your Lord (Allah) is surely Severe.

4. Seizure and Vengeance.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 13

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

13. Indeed, It is He (Allāh) Who begins (creation) and repeats it5,

5. To life after death for Judgment. We know how dearly Allāh loves us, because he has sent us his messenger Muhammad to guide us to the straight path. So now we can rejoice, because of the Qur’an He sent down to us, and the messenger he sent to us i.e., Prophet Muhammad. Any person who meets Allāh, while testifying that there is no god worthy of worship except Allāh, and that Muhammad is His last and final Messenger, without entertaining any doubt about it, will not be barred from entering Heaven.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 14

وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ

14. He 'Allāh' is the All-Forgiving, the All Loving6,

6. Allāh is the Creator, who is, in his very nature, loving and kind. Love is from Him. He is loving and merciful toward his creatures, and no creature experiences that love and mercy in a more intense or special way than the creature made in Allah’s own image, namely man. So If you do not have love and affection, you are nothing. If you do not have love and kindness, you gain nothing of that you may boast of doing good deeds. The believer is patient, kind and loving. He does not envy, not boast, he is not proud. Allāh, Our Lord is All-Forgiving, All-Embracing in His love.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 15

ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ

15. The Owner of the Throne, the Glorious,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 16

فَعَّالٞ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

16. Doer of whatever He wills.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 17

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ

17. Has there reached you the story of the soldiers?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 18

فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ

18. 'Those of' Pharaoh and Thamud?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 19

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖ

19. Rather those who disbelieve 'still' persist in denying (the Truth and opposing Peace - Islam).

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 20

وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ

20. While Allāh encompasses them from behind7.

7. I.e., all sides and will requite them for their misdeeds.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 21

بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٞ مَّجِيدٞ

21. But this is a Glorious Qu’ran.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 22

فِي لَوۡحٖ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ

22. (Inscribed) in a Preserved Tablet.
