تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
63.By Allāh, We sent (messengers) to nations before you (Muhammad), but Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them [24], so he is their guardian today, and they will have a painful torment.
[24]. Such as disbelief, polytheism, rejecting the Messenger, and other evil deeds.
