Al-Ma‘ārij

වාක්‍යය: 1

سَأَلَ سَآئِلُۢ بِعَذَابٖ وَاقِعٖ

1. A man 'mockingly' demanded for a torment bound to happen,

වාක්‍යය: 2

لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٞ

2. To the disbelievers - there is none to avert it,

වාක්‍යය: 3

مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِي ٱلۡمَعَارِجِ

3. From Allāh - Lord of the ways of 'heavenly' ascent.

වාක්‍යය: 4

تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ

4. by which the angels and the 'holy' spirit 'Gabriel' ascend to Him on a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.

වාක්‍යය: 5

فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا

5. So be patient with a beautiful patience¹.

1. In which there is no anguish or complain.

වාක්‍යය: 6

إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا

6. Indeed, they [the unbelievers] see it (the Day of Resurrection) far away,

වාක්‍යය: 7

وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا

7. But We see it near.

වාක්‍යය: 8

يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ

8. On the Day when the sky will be as molten copper.

වාක්‍යය: 9

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ

9. And the mountains will be as wool-tufts

වාක්‍යය: 10

وَلَا يَسۡـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا

10. And no friend (that Day) will ask about his friend,
