Ajeti: 55

إِنَّ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ فِي شُغُلٖ فَٰكِهُونَ

Indeed, on that Day the people of Paradise will be busy enjoying themselves,

Ajeti: 56

هُمۡ وَأَزۡوَٰجُهُمۡ فِي ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ

they and their spouses will be reclining on couches in the shade.

Ajeti: 57

لَهُمۡ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ

They will have therein fruits and all what they ask for^[16].

[16] i.e., wish or desire.

Ajeti: 58

سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡلٗا مِّن رَّبّٖ رَّحِيمٖ

“Peace”: a word from a Most Merciful Lord.

Ajeti: 59

وَٱمۡتَٰزُواْ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

“Stand apart [from the believers] this Day, O wicked ones!

Ajeti: 60

۞ أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَيۡكُمۡ يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ

Did I not command you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan, for he is your sworn enemy,

Ajeti: 61

وَأَنِ ٱعۡبُدُونِيۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ

but to worship Me? This is a straight path.

Ajeti: 62

وَلَقَدۡ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمۡ جِبِلّٗا كَثِيرًاۖ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡقِلُونَ

He had already misled great multitudes of you. Did you not then have sense?

Ajeti: 63

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ

This is the Hell that you were promised.

Ajeti: 64

ٱصۡلَوۡهَا ٱلۡيَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ

Burn in it Today for your disbelief^[17].”

[17] i.e., because you used to disbelieve.

Ajeti: 65

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ أَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

Today We will seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to all what they used to do.

Ajeti: 66

وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡيُنِهِمۡ فَٱسۡتَبَقُواْ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبۡصِرُونَ

If We willed, We could have taken away their sight, so they would rush to find their way, but then how could they see?

Ajeti: 67

وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مُضِيّٗا وَلَا يَرۡجِعُونَ

And if We willed, We could have paralyzed them in their places^[18], so they could neither move forward nor backward.

[18] i.e., We could turn them into inanimate objects.

Ajeti: 68

وَمَن نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُنَكِّسۡهُ فِي ٱلۡخَلۡقِۚ أَفَلَا يَعۡقِلُونَ

Whomsoever We give a long life, We cause his strength to decline^[19]. Do they not then understand?

[19] Humans are born weak, then they reach their prime when they are young, then they grow physically and mentally weak when they are old.

Ajeti: 69

وَمَا عَلَّمۡنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعۡرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لَهُۥٓۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرٞ وَقُرۡءَانٞ مُّبِينٞ

We have not taught him poetry, nor is it fitting for him. This is only a Reminder and a clear Qur’an

Ajeti: 70

لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيّٗا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

so that he may warn those who are truly alive^[20] and establish the argument against the disbelievers.

[20] In heart and mind, i.e., those who have faith.
