Ajeti: 55

لِيَكۡفُرُواْ بِمَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡۚ فَتَمَتَّعُواْ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

55. So as to show their ingratitude for all that We have given them; then enjoy yourselves, for soon you will come to know.

Ajeti: 56

وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ نَصِيبٗا مِّمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمۡ تَفۡتَرُونَ

56. They 'even' set a share of what We have given them 'to idols' who know nothing. By Allāh, you shall be questioned about all that 'lies' you used to invent about Allāh.

Ajeti: 57

وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡبَنَٰتِ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ

57. They also attribute to Allāh 'angels as' daughters - Glory be to Him - and for them is what they desire 'sons'.

Ajeti: 58

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِٱلۡأُنثَىٰ ظَلَّ وَجۡهُهُۥ مُسۡوَدّٗا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٞ

58. Yet whenever one of them is given the good news of a baby girl, his face darkens and he suppresses his rage.

Ajeti: 59

يَتَوَٰرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِۦٓۚ أَيُمۡسِكُهُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمۡ يَدُسُّهُۥ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ

59. He hides himself from the people because of the alleged bad news he has received. 'Debating within himself': "Shall he keep her with dishonour or bury her 'alive' in the ground?" Evil is what they decide!

Ajeti: 60

لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مَثَلُ ٱلسَّوۡءِۖ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡمَثَلُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

60. For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is an evil attribute, and for Allāh is the Highest Attribute. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Ajeti: 61

وَلَوۡ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِظُلۡمِهِم مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيۡهَا مِن دَآبَّةٖ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ سَاعَةٗ وَلَا يَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَ

61. If Allāh were to seize the people 'immediately' for their iniquities, He would not leave on the earth a single 'living' creature, but He delays them for an appointed time. When their term comes, they will not be able to delay it an hour, nor will they advance it.

Ajeti: 62

وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكۡرَهُونَۚ وَتَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفۡرَطُونَ

62. They attribute to Allāh what they dislike 'for themselves i.e., daughters' 22 and their tongues relate the lie that they will have the best 'from Him'23. No doubt for them is the Fire, and they will be 'therein' neglected.

22. That is, their saying that the angels are God’s daughters, while they dislike having daughters.
23. That they will be rewarded goodly both in this world and in the Hereafter.

Ajeti: 63

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ

63. By Allāh, We sent 'messengers' to nations before you 'Muhammad', but Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them24, so he is their patron today, and they will have a painful torment.

24. Such as disbelief, polytheism, rejecting the Messenger, and other evil deeds.

Ajeti: 64

وَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

64. We have revealed to you 'Muhammad' the Book 'this Qur’an' only that you may make clear to them that about which they differ25, and a guide and a mercy for a people who believe.

25. I.e., worshiping Allāh alone, the Resurrection, and the rules of the Islamic Law.
