44 : 12

قَالُوٓاْ أَضۡغَٰثُ أَحۡلَٰمٖۖ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَأۡوِيلِ ٱلۡأَحۡلَٰمِ بِعَٰلِمِينَ

44. They said: "Confused dreams, and we are not knowledgeable of the interpretation of the dreams [15]." info

[15]. Joseph was able to interpret it correctly while all the notables failed to do so was of singular importance and effectively played into his coming to prominence. Allāh had prepared him all along for this.

45 : 12

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِي نَجَا مِنۡهُمَا وَٱدَّكَرَ بَعۡدَ أُمَّةٍ أَنَا۠ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِتَأۡوِيلِهِۦ فَأَرۡسِلُونِ

45. And the one who were spared of the two said, while he remembered (Joseph) after some time: "I myself will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth." info

46 : 12

يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ أَفۡتِنَا فِي سَبۡعِ بَقَرَٰتٖ سِمَانٖ يَأۡكُلُهُنَّ سَبۡعٌ عِجَافٞ وَسَبۡعِ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضۡرٖ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٖ لَّعَلِّيٓ أَرۡجِعُ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ

46.  (He said), "Joseph, O truthful one, explain to us seven fat cows which seven lean ones were eating, and seven green ears of corn and (seven) others dry, that I may go back to the people so that they may know. info

47 : 12

قَالَ تَزۡرَعُونَ سَبۡعَ سِنِينَ دَأَبٗا فَمَا حَصَدتُّمۡ فَذَرُوهُ فِي سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّمَّا تَأۡكُلُونَ

47. (Joseph) said: "You will sow for seven years continuously, so what you reap leave it in its ears (each year), except a little from what you eat." info

48 : 12

ثُمَّ يَأۡتِي مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ سَبۡعٞ شِدَادٞ يَأۡكُلۡنَ مَا قَدَّمۡتُمۡ لَهُنَّ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّمَّا تُحۡصِنُونَ

48. Then there will come after that seven hard years which will consume all that you have advanced for them, except a little of what you store. info

49 : 12

ثُمَّ يَأۡتِي مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَامٞ فِيهِ يُغَاثُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَفِيهِ يَعۡصِرُونَ

49. Then there will come after that a year wherein all people will be succored (with abundant rain), and wherein they will press (olives and grapes). info

50 : 12

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُ ٱلرَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَسۡـَٔلۡهُ مَا بَالُ ٱلنِّسۡوَةِ ٱلَّٰتِي قَطَّعۡنَ أَيۡدِيَهُنَّۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيۡدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٞ

50. And the king said: "Bring him to me." So when the messenger came to him, he (Joseph) said: "Go back to your master and ask him, what is the case of the women who cut their hands. Indeed, my Lord of their scheme is All-Knowing." info

51 : 12

قَالَ مَا خَطۡبُكُنَّ إِذۡ رَٰوَدتُّنَّ يُوسُفَ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦۚ قُلۡنَ حَٰشَ لِلَّهِ مَا عَلِمۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ مِن سُوٓءٖۚ قَالَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡـَٰٔنَ حَصۡحَصَ ٱلۡحَقُّ أَنَا۠ رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

51. (The king) said (to the women): "What was your condition when you sought to seduce Joseph from himself? They said: "Allāh forbid [16]. We know nothing of evil on him.” The wife of Al-Azeez said: "Now has the truth become clear - It was I who sought to seduce him from himself, and he is indeed of the truthful." info

[16]. To create such pure character.

52 : 12

ذَٰلِكَ لِيَعۡلَمَ أَنِّي لَمۡ أَخُنۡهُ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي كَيۡدَ ٱلۡخَآئِنِينَ

52. (Then Joseph said: I asked for this) that he (Al-Azeez) may know that I betrayed him not in secret, and that Allāh guides not the plot of betrayers. info
