إِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٖ مِّنۡهُ ٱسۡمُهُ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ وَجِيهٗا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
45. [Remember] when the angels said: "O Mary, indeed, Allāh gives you glad tidings you of a Word from Him [15] - his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary - highly honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and of those who are drawn near to Allāh.
[15]. Jesus was not conceived by any human act of procreation but rather, like Adam, through Allah’s commanding Word: Be! Thus he is called “the Word of Allāh ”.
