وَيَوۡمَ نَبۡعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٖ شَهِيدٗا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤۡذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَلَا هُمۡ يُسۡتَعۡتَبُونَ

On the Day when We raise up a witness^[54] from every community, no excuse will be accepted from the disbelievers, nor will they be allowed to make amends.

[54] i.e., their Messenger to bear witness as to how his nation answered his call.
