سورة سبإ - Saba’
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡخَبِيرُ
1. All praise be to Allah (alone), to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. His is (all) praise in the Hereafter. He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.
التفاسير العربية:
يَعۡلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعۡرُجُ فِيهَاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ
2. He knows all that penetrates into the earth, all that comes out of it, all that descends from the heaven and all that ascends to it. He (Allah) is the Most Merciful, the All-Forgiving.
التفاسير العربية:
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَا تَأۡتِينَا ٱلسَّاعَةُۖ قُلۡ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتَأۡتِيَنَّكُمۡ عَٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِۖ لَا يَعۡزُبُ عَنۡهُ مِثۡقَالُ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرُ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٖ
3. Those who deny (the Truth of Islam) say: "The Hour (of Doom) shall not come upon us." Say: "Yes, by (Allah) my Lord, it will certainly come upon you." (He, Allah is) the Knower of the unseen, not even the weight of an atom (or a small ant) or less than that or greater escapes from His knowledge in the heavens or in the earth, but (all) is in a clear Register.
التفاسير العربية:
وَيَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَيَهۡدِيٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ
6. Those to whom the knowledge has been given see clearly that (the Qur’an) which has been sent down to you (Muhammad) from (Allah) your Lord, that is the Truth, and it guides to the Path of (Allah) the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy.
التفاسير العربية:
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هَلۡ نَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ يُنَبِّئُكُمۡ إِذَا مُزِّقۡتُمۡ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٍ
7. Those who deny (the Truth of Islam) say: "Shall we show you a man who will tell you that when you (die and) are completely disintegrated within the earth, you will be created anew¹?
1. i.e., resurrected for Judgment
التفاسير العربية:
أَفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَم بِهِۦ جِنَّةُۢۗ بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَٱلضَّلَٰلِ ٱلۡبَعِيدِ
8. Has he (knowingly) invent a lie against Allah or is he possessed by spirit? Rather, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are in torment and (in) extreme error.
التفاسير العربية:
أَفَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِن نَّشَأۡ نَخۡسِفۡ بِهِمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ أَوۡ نُسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖ
9. Do they not then consider what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the earth? If We will, We can make the earth swallow them, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. There is certainly a Sign in this for every sincere person who turns (to Allah in repentance).

وَلِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهۡرٞ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهۡرٞۖ وَأَسَلۡنَا لَهُۥ عَيۡنَ ٱلۡقِطۡرِۖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ مَن يَعۡمَلُ بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِۦۖ وَمَن يَزِغۡ مِنۡهُمۡ عَنۡ أَمۡرِنَا نُذِقۡهُ مِنۡ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
12. To Solomon (We subdued) the wind, its morning stride was a month’s journey and its evening stride was a month’s. We made a spring of molten copper to flow for him. And of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the Command of his Lord (Allah). Whoever turned away from Our Command from among them, We shall make him taste of the torment of the blazing Fire.
التفاسير العربية:
يَعۡمَلُونَ لَهُۥ مَا يَشَآءُ مِن مَّحَٰرِيبَ وَتَمَٰثِيلَ وَجِفَانٖ كَٱلۡجَوَابِ وَقُدُورٖ رَّاسِيَٰتٍۚ ٱعۡمَلُوٓاْ ءَالَ دَاوُۥدَ شُكۡرٗاۚ وَقَلِيلٞ مِّنۡ عِبَادِيَ ٱلشَّكُورُ
13. They would make for him anything that he wanted of mosques (and of palaces), images (of inanimate objects), large basins as reservoirs, and huge immovable cooking pots. (It was said): "Family of David, serve Allah and act gratefully. Only a few of My servants are grateful."
التفاسير العربية:
فَلَمَّا قَضَيۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ مَا دَلَّهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَوۡتِهِۦٓ إِلَّا دَآبَّةُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَأۡكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُۥۖ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ ٱلۡجِنُّ أَن لَّوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ مَا لَبِثُواْ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ
14. When We decreed death for him (Solomon), nothing informed them of his death except a termite that kept eating away at his staff. When he fell down, the jinn realized that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating suffering (of servitude).
التفاسير العربية:
لَقَدۡ كَانَ لِسَبَإٖ فِي مَسۡكَنِهِمۡ ءَايَةٞۖ جَنَّتَانِ عَن يَمِينٖ وَشِمَالٖۖ كُلُواْ مِن رِّزۡقِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَٱشۡكُرُواْ لَهُۥۚ بَلۡدَةٞ طَيِّبَةٞ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٞ
15. There was a sign for Sheba in their homeland. (We gave them) two gardens, one on the right and one on the left and (told them): "Eat of the provision of (Allah) your Lord and give thanks to Him. A good land and an All-Forgiving Lord."

فَأَعۡرَضُواْ فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَيۡلَ ٱلۡعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلۡنَٰهُم بِجَنَّتَيۡهِمۡ جَنَّتَيۡنِ ذَوَاتَيۡ أُكُلٍ خَمۡطٖ وَأَثۡلٖ وَشَيۡءٖ مِّن سِدۡرٖ قَلِيلٖ
16. But they turned away (from Allah), so We sent against them a flood (released) from a broken dam, and in place of their two gardens We gave to them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote trees.
التفاسير العربية:
وَجَعَلۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمۡ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡقُرَى ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَا قُرٗى ظَٰهِرَةٗ وَقَدَّرۡنَا فِيهَا ٱلسَّيۡرَۖ سِيرُواْ فِيهَا لَيَالِيَ وَأَيَّامًا ءَامِنِينَ
18. And (before their downfall) We placed between them and the towns which We had blessed² (many) towns within sight of one another, and thus We made traveling easy (for them, saying): "Travel through them by night or by day, secure."
2. I.e., between the land of the people of Sheba and the land of Makkah and Jerusalem.
التفاسير العربية:
فَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا بَٰعِدۡ بَيۡنَ أَسۡفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقۡنَٰهُمۡ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٖ شَكُورٖ
19. But they said: "(O Allah) our Sovereign Lord, make the distances of our journeys longer." They were unjust to themselves, so We made them (as exemplary) narrations (of the past) and scattered them in the land with an utter scattering. There are certainly signs in this for every patient, grateful one.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنٍ إِلَّا لِنَعۡلَمَ مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِمَّنۡ هُوَ مِنۡهَا فِي شَكّٖۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَفِيظٞ
21. He (Iblis) had no authority over them (mankind and Jinn), except to the extent that We might distinguish him who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. (Allah) your Lord is the Preserver of all things⁴.
4. To avoid coming under Satan’s influence or control, you need to learn how he manipulates people, so that you are not ignorant of his designs. By reading the Qur’an, you can obtain vital knowledge of Satan’s tactics and thus avoid becoming a victim. Get rid of any equipments associated with demon activity. That includes crosses, amulets, charms, printed matter, videos, music, and computer applications that promote spiritism or divination.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا لَهُمۡ فِيهِمَا مِن شِرۡكٖ وَمَا لَهُۥ مِنۡهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٖ
22. Say: Ask help from those you worship besides Allah. (They cannot help you). As They do not control the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth nor have they any partnership in either, nor is any among them a helper to Him5.
5. Allah has negated all that the polytheists have attached to Him of false gods. For He has negated that anyone has any dominion or any share in the heavens or on the earth besides Him, or that there is any assistant to Allah, and that there is nothing to remain except intercession. It is clear that intercession will be no benefit to anyone except for who has been granted permission by Allah, the Lord.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا لِمَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُۥۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَن قُلُوبِهِمۡ قَالُواْ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيُّ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ
23. Intercession does not benefit anything with Him except for one whom He permits. (And those wait) until when fear is removed from their hearts6, they will say (to one another): "What is it that (Allah) your Lord said?" They will say: "The Truth." For He is the Most High, the Most Great.
6. i.e., the hearts of the angels who will be permitted to intercede
التفاسير العربية:
۞ قُلۡ مَن يَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ وَإِنَّآ أَوۡ إِيَّاكُمۡ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى أَوۡ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ
24. Say: "Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?" Say: (Allah.) And surely either we or you7 are on right guidance or in manifest error.
7. I.e., the believers or the pagans. There is no doubt that the guided people are the believers, and the misguided people are the pagans.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ أَرُونِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَلۡحَقۡتُم بِهِۦ شُرَكَآءَۖ كَلَّاۚ بَلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
27. Say: "Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners. No (there are not at all any partners with Him). Rather, He (Allah alone) is (The only True) God, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ إِلَّا كَآفَّةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرٗا وَنَذِيرٗا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
28. We have merely sent you (Muhammad) to all the people8 as a bearer of good news (of eternal Bliss) and as a warner (of torment), but most people do not know9.
8. If you declare with your mouth, “that there is no God except Allah and that Mohammad is God's servant and messenger,” and believe that in your heart, you will be saved from the Hellfire and admitted to heaven (Paradise).

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن نُّؤۡمِنَ بِهَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ وَلَا بِٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِۗ وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ مَوۡقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ يَرۡجِعُ بَعۡضُهُمۡ إِلَىٰ بَعۡضٍ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ لَوۡلَآ أَنتُمۡ لَكُنَّا مُؤۡمِنِينَ
31. Those who deny (the Truth of Islam) say: "We shall not believe in this Qur’an, nor in that which is before it (of the Torah and the Gospel)." If you could see (how it will be on the Day of Judgment) when the unjust (the pagans) will be made to stand before their Lord (Allah), how they will cast the blame one to another! Those who were reckoned weak shall say to those who were arrogant: "Had it not been for you we would certainly have been believers."
التفاسير العربية:
قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُوٓاْ أَنَحۡنُ صَدَدۡنَٰكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ بَعۡدَ إِذۡ جَآءَكُمۖ بَلۡ كُنتُم مُّجۡرِمِينَ
32. Those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: "Did we turn you away from the guidance after it had come to you?" No, you (yourselves) were wicked people.

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ بَلۡ مَكۡرُ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذۡ تَأۡمُرُونَنَآ أَن نَّكۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَنَجۡعَلَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادٗاۚ وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۚ وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلَ فِيٓ أَعۡنَاقِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ هَلۡ يُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
33. Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Rather, (it was your) conspiracy by night and day when you ordered us to deny Allah and to set up rivals with Him." They are filled with remorse when they see the torment, and We shall put shackles on the necks of the deniers. They will not be recompensed except for what they used to do (of sins).

وَقَالُواْ نَحۡنُ أَكۡثَرُ أَمۡوَٰلٗا وَأَوۡلَٰدٗا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُكُم بِٱلَّتِي تُقَرِّبُكُمۡ عِندَنَا زُلۡفَىٰٓ إِلَّا مَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلضِّعۡفِ بِمَا عَمِلُواْ وَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡغُرُفَٰتِ ءَامِنُونَ
37. It is not your wealth nor your children that bring you colser to Us10, but whoever believes and does good deeds, these it is for whom there is a double reward for what they did (of righteousness), and they will reside in the high dwellings (of Paradise) in peace and security.
10. i.e., earns the good Pleasure of Allah
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقۡدِرُ لَهُۥۚ وَمَآ أَنفَقۡتُم مِّن شَيۡءٖ فَهُوَ يُخۡلِفُهُۥۖ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
39. Say: "(Allah) my Lord amplifies the means of sustenance for whom He wills of His servants or straitens it. Whatever thing you spend (for the Cause of Allah), He will compensate it. For He is the Best of providers."
التفاسير العربية:
وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ
40. On the Day (of Judgment) when He will gather them all together11, then will ask the angels: "Was it you that these people used to worship?"

قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ
41. They will reply: "Glory (and Honor) be to You (O Allah), Exalted above that You should have an associate. You are our Guardian, not them. No, but they were blindly worshiping the jinn (demons). Most of them were believers in them."
التفاسير العربية:
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ لَا يَمۡلِكُ بَعۡضُكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٖ نَّفۡعٗا وَلَا ضَرّٗا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
42. So on that Day none of you will control benefit nor harm for another, and We shall say to the unjust (the pagans): "Taste the torment of the eternal Fire which you used to deny."

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالُواْ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا رَجُلٞ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمۡ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُكُمۡ وَقَالُواْ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفۡكٞ مُّفۡتَرٗىۚ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ
43. When Our clear Verses are recited to them, they say: "This is only a man (i.e., Muhammad) who wants to turn you away from what your fathers used to worship." And they say: "This, (the Qur’an), is only a lie that is invented." And those who deny say of the Truth when it comes to them: "This is only clear magic."
التفاسير العربية:
وَكَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَمَا بَلَغُواْ مِعۡشَارَ مَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَكَذَّبُواْ رُسُلِيۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
45. Those before them denied (the Truth of Islam), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them (of power and wealth), yet they denied My messengers. How (terrible) was My Reproach.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَعِظُكُم بِوَٰحِدَةٍۖ أَن تَقُومُواْ لِلَّهِ مَثۡنَىٰ وَفُرَٰدَىٰ ثُمَّ تَتَفَكَّرُواْۚ مَا بِصَاحِبِكُم مِّن جِنَّةٍۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ لَّكُم بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ عَذَابٖ شَدِيدٖ
46. Say 'Muhammad': "I only advise you to do one thing, that you stand up purely for Allah’s Sake in pairs and individually, then reflect (on this Message). Your companion (the Prophet Muhammad) is not possessed (by a spirit). He is only a warner to you in face of a severe Torment.

قُلۡ مَا سَأَلۡتُكُم مِّنۡ أَجۡرٖ فَهُوَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٞ
47. Say: "Never have I asked of you any reward (for this Message), rather it is all for your own benefit. My reward is only with Allah (God). He is a Witness over all things."

قُلۡ جَآءَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَمَا يُبۡدِئُ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ
12. Satan, or what you worship besides Allah.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ إِن ضَلَلۡتُ فَإِنَّمَآ أَضِلُّ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِيۖ وَإِنِ ٱهۡتَدَيۡتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِيٓ إِلَيَّ رَبِّيٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ سَمِيعٞ قَرِيبٞ
50. Say: "If I go astray, I only go astray against myself, and if I remain (rightly) guided, it is because of what my Lord (Allah) reveals to me. He is All-Hearing, Ever Near."

وَحِيلَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ وَبَيۡنَ مَا يَشۡتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشۡيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبۡلُۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ فِي شَكّٖ مُّرِيبِۭ
54. A barrier will be set between them and that which they desire17, as was done before with the likes of them. They were in disquieting doubt about it18.
