1. Allāh’s Judgment is coming soon¹, so do not seek to hasten it; Glory be to Him, and Highly Exalted is He above all that they associate with Him (in worship)².
1. Allah’s Punishment is imminent and certain for the idolaters and the deniers, and the Day of Judgment is approaching.
2. Polytheism is associating partners with Allāh and the most grievous of all sins, as Allāh warned against it right after mentioning the imminence of the Hour of Doom. Allāh warns against idolatry and calls for pure and perfect monotheism in the two subsequent verses as well.
2. He sends down the angels with the (Divine) inspiration of His command to whom He wills of His servants, saying: "Give the Warning that there is no god (worthy of worship) except Me, so fear Me (and shun evil)."
3. He has created the heavens and the earth in Truth³ (and for a genuine purpose). Highly is He, Exalted above all that they associate with Him (of idols and false gods).
3. Allah's foremost undisputed sign of Power is that of creation, especially that of the largest humanly perceivable creations, the heavens and earth, over which none else is capable.
4. (Allāh) created man from a 'mere' drop of sperm; then⁴ at once he is an open opponent⁵.
4. As soon as he becomes strong and independent.
5. I.e., the idolaters and the deniers who deny resurrection, argue against the Truth, and are ungrateful for Allah’s favors
7. And they carry your heavy loads to a land which you could not reach except with great trouble to (your bodies and) selves. Indeed, your Lord (Allāh) is certainly Ever-Kind, All-Merciful.
9. And upon Allāh is (the direction of) the moderate path (that has no extremes or excesses)7, and among it, (the paths) is deviant8. Had Allāh willed, He could have guided you all aright (but He gave us freedom of choice).
7. Islâmic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things; so whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction.
8. Such as Paganism, Judaism and Christianity.
11. He causes to grow for you thereby corn, 'rice', olives, palm trees, grapevines, and of all fruits. There is certainly a Sign in this for a people who reflect9.
9. Allāh reveals himself through the Qur’an. The Qur’an is Allah's very Word. It is the holy and inerrant Book, telling us who Allāh is, who we are, and what Allāh has done for us. Allāh also revealed himself also through His last and final messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him, and through the other prophets before him such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ, peace be upon them all. For Allah's blessings and favors are unlimited.
12. He has subjected for you the night and the day, the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. In this there are certainly Signs for a people who understand10.
10. The Oneness of God, His being and His attributes. It is to believe and testify with absolute certainty that there is no other partner as such besides Allāh, that there exists no other being as High and Exalted that He is, and also to believe in all the Attributes of Allāh, and there can be none who can possess them.
14. It is He (Allāh) Who has subjected the sea, so that you may eat from it fresh flesh and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear. You see the ships plowing through it, that you might seek of His bounty, and that you may give thanks 'to Him".
18. If you would count all of Allah’s Favors, you could never enumerate them12. Indeed, Allāh is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
12. Allāh deserves our gratitude, “Praise Allâh, and forget not all his blessings."
The countless ways God is at work—assuring us of forgiveness, working healing in our bodies and hearts, letting us experience “love and compassion” and countless “good things” in His creation.
While not all suffering will find complete healing in this lifetime, our hearts can always be renewed by gratitude, for Allah's love is with us.
22. Your God is (Allāh), One God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are in denial, and they are (foolishly) bold and arrogant14.
14. Scorning to believe in the Oneness of God and to accept the Truth.
25. That they may bear their burdens entirely on the Day of Resurrection and of the burdens of those whom they lead astray without knowledge. Unquestionably Evil is that which they bear.
26. Those before them had also devised evil plans, so Allāh came upon their structures from their very foundations, so the roof fell down on top of them, and the torment came to them from where they never perceived.
27. Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and say: "Where are My 'so-called' partners whom you used to associate with (Allah), for for whom you used to oppose (the believers)?" Those who were given knowledge 'will' say: "Indeed, the disgrace this day and evill are upon the deniers."
28. Those whom the angels cause to die, while they are unjust to themselves. Then, they will offer peace: 'saying': "We have been not doing anything of evil." (But they will be told): "Yes (indeed you did)." Indeed, Allāh is the All-Knower of all that you used to do.
30. (When) those who guard themselves against evil are told: "What has your Lord sent down 'of revelation'?" They say: "All the best." For the ones who do good in this world is good, and certainly the Home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the Home of the righteous.
33. Do (the deniers) wait for anything except that the angels come to them or that the Command of your Lord comes to pass. Thus did those before them. Allāh did not do them injustice, but they were unjust to themselves.
35. And those who associate (others with Allah) say: "If Allāh had willed, we would not have worshiped anything besides Him, neither us nor our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything without 'Authority from' Him. Thus did those before them. Is then anything incumbent upon the Messengers except a clear delivery *of the Message)?
36. We certainly sent in every nation a Messenger, saying: "Worship Allāh alone and shun the fake dieties." So there were some of them whom Allāh guided, and others came true against them the straying. So travel throughout the land, then see what was the end of the deniers.
38. And they have sworn by Allāh their most binding oaths: "Allāh will not resurrect the one who dies." Yes, (He will). It is a true Promise binding on Him15, but most people do not know;
15. In a statement of prophet Mohammad, God's Messenger (ﷺ), he related that: "God said: ‘The son of Adam has accused Me of lying, while he has no right to do so, and he insulted Me, while he has no right to do so. His accusing Me of lying is his saying: “He shall not recreate me as He created me at first.” The first creation is by no means easier for Me than recreation.’ His insulting Me is his saying: “God has taken a son (to Himself)”, when I am the One, the Oft-Beseeched, I begot none, nor was I begotten. None is equal to Me."
41. Those who emigrated in (the Cause of) Allāh after after being persecuted, We shall certainly give them a good place in the world, and the reward of the Hereafter is much greater, if they but knew;
42. Those who are patient and on their Lord 'Allāh alone' do they rely17.
17. They trust that their Protector and Savoir is none but Allāh alone. Putting one’s trust in Allāh is the base for all good deeds. No sincere deed exists nor can it be perfected without it. Putting one’s trust in Allāh is the top of sincere Faith.
43. We did not send before you 'Muhammad' any but men to whom We sent Revelation - so ask the people of the Reminder 'the previous scriptures', if you do not know.
44. (We sent them) with clear Proofs and Scriptures; and We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Reminder (Qur’an)18 that you may make clear to the people what has been sent down to them, so that they may meditate.
18. The Qur’an is reminder in that it constantly makes mention of what people need for the betterment of their lives; it also reminds people, of God Almighty and the Last Day; and that it is a cause of laudable mention and high repute.
45. Then do they who devise evil plans, feel secure that Allāh will not cause the earth to swallow them or that the torment may not seize them from where they do not perceive?
47. Or that He will not seize them with gradual (loss of their wealth and health) when they are apprehensive ˹of it? Indeed, Your Lord is certainly Most Kind, Most Merciful.
48. Have they not seen whatever thing Allah created incline their shadows to the right and the left (as the sun moves), prostrating themselves to Allāh while they are humble.
49. To Allāh prostrates19 (and submits) all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth of a living creature, as well as the angels, and they disdain not.
19. The prostration of rational beings is their worship and surrender to Allāh Almighty; however, the prostration of irrational beings is their falling in with Allāh Almighty’s subjection, and the execution of His Command. The prostration of creatures to Allāh is of two kinds: a prostration of necessity which is evidence of His Perfect Attributes. This prostration is general for all creatures, whether believers or unbelievers, pious or rebellious. The other kind is the prostration of willingness which is specific to Allah’s believing servants, the angels, and other creatures.
50. They fear their Lord (Allāh) above them, and they do what they are commanded20.
20. When the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite the Qur’an, and came upon a Chapter in which there is prostration like this verse, he would prostrate and people would prostrate with him. The Messenger of God (ﷺ) used to say in this prostration: "My face has prostrated to He -Allāh- Who created it and slit in it its hearing and sight with His ability and power. O Allāh, record for me this one as a reward, eliminate me with it a sin of mine, make it a deposit for me with You and accept it from me as You have accepted it from Your servant, David."
51. Allāh has said: "Do not take two gods (or more for worship)21. There is Only One God (Allāh); so fear Me (and Me alone and shun evil)."
21. Allāh 'God' is One only and not triune. He is Unique and has no partners. His is the Dominion and the praise.
The word “trinity” isn’t even mentioned ONCE in the Bible, and the only real reference to it is during Jesus’ baptism (which does not support 3 in one otherwise why are they separated??) in Matthew 3:13, 16,17. Furthermore, it falls apart when it comes to Matthew: 24:35–36 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but to Allāh my Lord only.”
Other Translations include the words “Not even me 'Jesus'.”
Allāh is all-knowing. Allāh is omnipotent. But not Moses, not Jesus, not even Prophet Muhammad, they are all God's messengers and servants may peace be upon them all.
God is ONE being. Worshipping Jesus or his mother or any other being as Allāh, the real Lord, goes against the First and Second commandments. Exodus 20:3–6 (KJV). 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. (I will state that this is about idolatry, which the Catholic and some Christian churches have violated already by hanging paintings of “Jesus” within the walls of their churches, and even the statues of the crucifixion which never happened.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I ' Allāh' the Lord thy God am a jealous God.
52. To Him (Allāh) belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him should obedience be 'rendered' constantly; Will you then fear any other than Allāh?
56. And they assign to what they know not - a portion of what We have provided them. By Allāh, you shall be questioned about all that (lies) you used to invent (about Allāh).
59. He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that tidings announced to him. Shall he retain it in degradation or bury it (alive) in the dust? Unquestionably evil is what they judge.
60. For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the example of evil, and for Allāh is the Highest Attributes; for He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
61.And If Allāh were to take the people 'immediately' for their iniquities, He would not leave on the earth a single 'living' creature, but He delays them for an appointed time. When their term comes, they will not be able to delay it an hour, nor will they advance it.
62. They assign to Allāh what they dislike (for themselves i.e., daughters) 22 and their tongues describe the lie that they will have the best (from Him)23. Undoubtedly, for them is the Fire, and that they will be (therein) abandoned.
22. That is, their saying that the angels are God’s daughters, while they dislike having daughters.
23. That they will be rewarded goodly both in this world and in the Hereafter.
63.By Allāh, We sent (messengers) to nations before you (Muhammad), but Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them24, so he is their guardian today, and they will have a painful torment.
24. Such as disbelief, polytheism, rejecting the Messenger, and other evil deeds.
64. We have not sent down to you (Muhammad) the Book (this Qur’an) except that you may make clear to them that about which they differ25, and a guide and a mercy for a people who believe.
25. I.e., worshiping Allāh alone, the Resurrection, and the rules of the Islamic Law.
65. And Allāh sends down water from the sky, then gives life by it to the earth after its death. In this there is certainly a Sign for a people who listen.
66. Indeed, there is certainly a lesson for you in the cattle. We give you to drink of what is in its bellies - between dung and blood ـ pure milk, palatable to its drinkers.
67. And of the fruits of the date-palms and the grapevines, you make intoxicants and goodly provision26. In this there is certainly a Sign for a people who understand.
26. This Verse was revealed before the prohibition of intoxicants.
69. Then eat of all the fruits and walk the ways of your Lord (Allāh) submissively27. There comes forth from their bellies a drink (honey) of varying colors, in which there is healing28 for the people. There is certainly a Sign in this for a people who reflect.
27. The bees humbled themselves on the abated routes that Allāh inspired them to take, which made their lives easy, beneficial, and in tune with Allah's great Plan. How would the lives of humans be if they humbled themselves on the Path of Allāh, and did not pursue their own misleading ways?
28. Of the things that are said to be healing (a cure) in the Qur’an are the Qur’an itself and honey.
70. Allāh has created you, then He causes you to die, and of you is he who is turned back to the most decrepit age, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything. Indeed, Allāh is All-Knowing, Most Capable.
71. And Allāh favored some of you over others in provision. But those who were favored will not hand over their provision to those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, so (that) they are equal therein29. Then Is it the favour of Allāh (Islamic Monotheism) which they deny (by ascribing partners to Allāh)?
29. If they would not accept to equally share their provision with their slaves, how would then they ascribe partners to Allāh, the Creator, in worship?
72. Allāh has made for you spouses from yourselves, and has given you through your spouses sons and grandsons, and has given you of the good things. Do they then believe in falsehood and deny the Grace of Allāh (by associating partners with Him)?
73. Yet they worship besides Allāh that which does not possess (power to give) them any provision from the heavens and the earth anything, nor they can.
74. So do not set up equals to Allāh30; for Allāh knows and you do not know31.
30. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these other than Allāh? This verse dismisses the idea that any gods could be compared with Allāh - the true God. As there is nothing similar to Him, nor He resembles anything or comparable to Him.
31. Due to not realizing Allah’s Greatness and out of their ignorance, they assert similarities between Him and their false gods.
75. Allāh sets forth an example: (Consider) a slave who is owned and has no power over anything, and one whom We have granted from Ourselves a good provision, so he spends from it secretly and openly. Are the two alike? All Praise be to Allāh. But most of them do not know32.
32. That all favors, blessings and graces are from Allāh alone, none owns them but He, and besides Allāh there is no God.
76. Allāh sets forth (another) example (for the invalidity of idolatry) of two men: one of them is dumb, not able to do anything, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good. Can he then be considered equal to the one who commands justice and is on right Path33?
33. Allāh alone guides to the Truth and worthy to be followed, there is none like Him, and there is no God besides Him.
77. And to Allāh belongs (the) unseen of the heavens and the earth. The matter of the Hour (of Doom) is but as the twinkling of an eye or it is closer still. Indeed, Allāh has full Power over all things.
78. Allāh brought you out from the wombs of your mothers, knowing nothing, and He gave you hearing, sight, and intellects, that you may give thanks 'to Him'.
79. Have they not seen the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None withholds them except Allāh. In this there are certainly Signs for a people who believe.
80. And Allāh has made for you of your homes a place of rest, and He has given you houses (tents) of the hides of cattle, which you find light on the day of your travel and the day of your encampment; and of their wool, their fur and their hair is furnishings and goods for a time.
81. And Allāh has made for you of what He has created, shades and He has given you in the mountains, shelters and He has given you garments protecting you from the heat (and the cold) and garments protecting you in your wars. Thus does He complete His blessings upon you, that you may submit 'to Him alone'.
84. And (mention) the Day when We shall raise up a witness out of every nation, then they will not be permitted to those who disbelieved to plead (ignorance), nor will they be excused.
86. And when those who associate (others with Allāh) see their associate-gods, they say: "Our Lord (Allāh), these are our associate-gods that we used to invoke besides You." But they will give them back the reply: (and will say): "Indeed, you are surely liars."
88. Those who disbelieved (in the Truth) and turned (people) away from God’s Way (Islam), We shall add torment over their torment, for what they used to spread corruption.
89. And on the Day when We shall raise up from within each people a witness against them, and bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these 'peope of yours' . We have sent down the Book on you as an explanation of everything, a guide, mercy and good news for the Muslims34.
90. Indeed, Allāh commands (people) to maintain justice, doing good, and giving generously to close relatives35, and He forbids indecency, sin, and oppression; He admonishes you that you may take heed.
35. Degrees of kinship: parents, then offspring, then brothers and sisters, then paternal uncles and aunts, then maternal uncles and aunts, and then other relatives.
91. Fulfill the Covenant of Allāh when you make a pledge, and do not break the oaths after confirming them, while you have made Allāh a surety (i.e., witness) over you. Indeed, Allāh knows what you do.
92. And do not be like the woman who (foolishly) untwisted her spun thread after it was strong, into shreds, by taking your oaths as (means of) deceit between you, simply because one nation may be more plentiful (in number or wealth) than another nation. Allāh only tries you by this; and He will certainly make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection (and judgement) that over which you used to differ.
93. Had Allāh willed, He could have made you all of one religion36, but He (justly) leaves whom He wills astray, and guides (out of His Favor) whom He wills. And you will certainly be questioned as to what you used to do.
36. Allāh, through His boundless Power and infinite Wisdom, could have made all people believers, but then how would their Faith be tested and they be held accountable for their deeds.
94. Do not take your oaths a means of deceit between yourselves, lest a foot slip after its stability, then you may taste evil (in the world) because you turned away from God’s Way (Islam) and yours (in the Hereafter) is a terrible torment.
96. Whatever you have will be exhausted, but what is with Allāh is lasting. We shall surely give to those who who patiently endured their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
97. Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, and is a believer, We shall cause them to live a good life, and We shall give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
101. When We substitute a Verse with another and Allāh knows best what He sends down (of revelation), they say: "You are only an inventor "of lies" But, most of them do not know.
102. Say: "The holy spirit (Gabriel) has brought it 'the Qur’an' down from your Lord in truth, so that it may strengthen those who believe, and as a guide and good news for the Muslims37.
103. We know that they say: "It is only a human being who teaches him." The tongue of him whom they refer to is foreign, and this (Qur’an) is in a clear Arabic tongue.
104. Indeed, those who do not believe in the Signs of Allāh (the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad) - Allāh does not guide them, and they will have a painful torment.
106. Whoever disbelieves in Allāh after his belief, except he who is forced while his hearts is firm in faith, (shall be forgiven). But whoever opens (his) chest willingly to disbelief - on these is the Wrath of Allāh, and they will have a grievous torment
110. Then indeed, your Lord (grants His forgiveness) unto th to those who emigrated after they had been put to trial, and thereafter strove hard 'for the Cause of Allāh', and were patient; indeed, your Lord after that is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
111. (Remember) the Day when every soul will come, arguing for itself, and every soul will be paid in full what it has done, and they will not be dealt with unjustly.
112. Allāh sets forth an example: a town safe and secure to which its provision comes in abundance from every place; but it became ungrateful for Allah’s favors, so Allāh made it to taste the utmost degree of hunger and fear because of what they used to do (of sins)39.
39. This is a direct warning to the people - they are being warned against Divine Retribution in this worldly life as much as they have just been warned against the one in the Hereafter.
115. He has only forbidden you carrion, blood41, pork and and what is consecrated in the name of any other than Allāh. But whoever is driven (to consume such meats) by necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limits, then Allāh is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
41. I.e., flowing blood, not what remains in blood vessels after the slaughter.
116. Do not say what your tongues describe falsely "saying': "This is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to invent a lie against Allāh." Those who forge lies against Allāh will not succeed and prosper.
118. And for those who Judaized, We prohibited that which We have already related to you (O Muhammad)42 earlier. We did them no injustice, but they were unjust to themselves.
119. Then indeed, your Lord (shows Mercy and love) to those who do evil out of ignorance, then after that repent and live righteously; indeed, your Lord after it, is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
123. Then We revealed to you (O Muhammad): Follow (Islam) the (purely Monotheistic) Faith of Abraham, the upright one, and he was not of the polytheists.
124. Surely the Sabbath was ordained only for those (Jews) who differed about (its observance), and your Lord will certainly judge between them on the Day of Judgement, that about which they differed.
125. Invite (all people to Islam) the Way of (Allāh) your Lord with wisdom and good advice, and argue with them in the best manner. Indeed, your Lord best knows those who go astray from His path, and He knows best who is rightly guided.
126. If you retaliate, then retaliate with the like of that with which you were afflicted; but if you patiently endure (instead of revenge), it is best for the patient44.
44. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, quarrel and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as Allāh forgive your sins.
127. Be patient, and your patience is only with Allah's help. Do not grieve for them (the deniers), nor be distressed by their plotting (of evil plans).
128. Indeed, Allāh is with those who fear Him (and shun evil) and those who are good-doers45.
45. Who excel in their worship of their sole Creator, Allāh, and do good deeds. Therefore be mindful of Allāh, focus on Him. You must get rid of all prohibited things: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, theft and cheating. Because of these, the wrath of Allāh is coming. You must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, lying, and filthy language from your lips. We should follow our example, God's last messenger, the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, as Muslims, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as Allāh forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
