Ayah: 1

أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
1. Het vermeerderen van wereldlijke zaken, leidt jullie af (vandaar dat velen geen kennis opdoen).

Ayah: 2

حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ
2. Tot jullie de graven bezoeken.

Ayah: 3

كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
3. Nee! Jullie zullen het te weten komen!

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
4. Nogmaals nee! Jullie zullen het te weten komen!

كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
5. Nee, als jullie het zeker zouden weten.

6. Waarlijk, je zult het laaiende vuur zien!
