Soerat Al-Asr (De Tijd)

Ayah: 1

وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ
1. (Allah zweert) bij de tijd.

Ayah: 2

إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَفِي خُسۡرٍ
2. Waarlijk, de (ongelovige) mens is verliezend (en in een staat van zelfvernietiging)!

Ayah: 3

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ
3. Behalve degenen die (in Allah en Zijn boodschapper) geloven (dus kennis opdoen) en goede daden verrichten (er na handelen), en elkaar aansporen tot de waarheid (en gehoorzaamheid aan Allah), en elkaar aansporen tot geduld.
