Soerat Al-Homazah (De Schandaal Verspreider)

Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
1. Wee voor de lasteraars (de roddelaars), degenen die kwaadspreken (door de fouten op te zoeken van hun broeders en nog veel erger; bij de mensen van kennis).

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
2. Die de rijkdom verzamelt en deze telt.

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
3. Hij denkt dat hij door deze rijkdom voor altijd zal bestaan!

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
4. Nee! Waarlijk, hij zal in het verpletterende vuur gegooid worden.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
5. En wat laat jullie weten wat het verpletterende vuur is?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
6. Het vuur dat Allah heeft aangestoken.

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
7. Dat naar hun harten opspringt.

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ
8. Waarlijk het zal hen insluiten (zoals zij ook zichzelf insloten door zondes zonder Tawbah).
