Soerat Al-Maa'oen (De Noden van Buren)

Ayah: 1

أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
1. Heb je degenen gezien die de afrekening ontkent?

Ayah: 2

فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ
2. Dat is degenen die (meedogenloos) de wees afstoot.

Ayah: 3

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ
3. En niet (zichzelf noch anderen) aanspoort tot het voeden van de armen.

فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ
4. O wee, voor diegenen die (onachtzaam) in hun gebeden.

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ
5. Die hun gebeden uitstellen van hun bepaalde tijd.

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ
6. Degenen die slechts goed doen om gezien te worden (in gebed e.a.).

7. En de levensnoodzakelijke benodigdheden weigeren.
