يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَن يَرۡتَدَّ مِنكُمۡ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوۡفَ يَأۡتِي ٱللَّهُ بِقَوۡمٖ يُحِبُّهُمۡ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوۡمَةَ لَآئِمٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
54. O believers, whoever of you turns back from his religion (of Islam) [50], then Allāh will bring forth (in place of them) a people, whom He will love [51] and they will love Him [52], humble towards the believers, mighty against the deniers, striving hard in Allah’s Way and not fearing the blame of the blamers. This is Allah’s bounty, He gives it to whom He wills. For Allāh is Ample-Giving, All-Knowing.
[50]. Disregarding the commandment of not aligning one’s self with the enemies of the believers is considered a renouncement of religion.
[51]. This inspire us to receive Allah’s love and then demonstrate it to others through acts of service, patience, humility, and sacrifice.
[52]. If we love God, we must keep to His commandments and follow His last and final messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
