Al-Mulk

1 : 67

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ

1. Blessed is He (Allāh) in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He has full Power over all things.

2 : 67

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ

2. He Who created death and life ^[1] that He may test you as to which of you is best in deeds ^[2]. He is the All-Mighty, All-Forgiving.

[1]. Allāh set before us Life and death, prosperity and adversity, blessing and cursing; so choose the next life rather than this worldly life that you may have eternal life, you and your descendants. He who follows the Prophet Muhammad, God's last and final messenger, and believes in Allāh 'God' who sent him, will have eternal life, and will not perish. Know that this worldly life is temporary one. But the Home of the Hereafter that is the eternal Life.
[2]. That means to do them totally for Allâh’s sake and in accordance with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

3 : 67

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗاۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖۖ فَٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ هَلۡ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٖ

3. Who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You do not see in the creation of the Most Compassionate 'Allāh' of any inconsistency ^[3]. So return the gaze (to the sky), do you see any flaws?

[3]. All parts of the universe are well connected and in perfect harmony and coordination. There is no disorder and discordance in the universe, and nothing is disjointed and out of proportion in the creation of Allah. As for birth defects, genetic mutations and other things that we see in the world are part of this great creation, for perfection cannot be noticed except if the opposite is seen, also as a test for humans.

4 : 67

ثُمَّ ٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيۡنِ يَنقَلِبۡ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئٗا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٞ

4. Then return (your) vision twice again - (your) vision will return to you abased while it is weary.

5 : 67

وَلَقَدۡ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا رُجُومٗا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

5. We have adorned the lowest heaven [to the earth] with [stars like] lamps, and made them as missiles for stoning [eavesdropping] devils and We have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire.

6 : 67

وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

6. And for those who disbelieve in their Lord 'Allāh', the torment of Gehinnom (Hell). What a miserable destination.

7 : 67

إِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ فِيهَا سَمِعُواْ لَهَا شَهِيقٗا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ

7. When they are cast into it, they will hear for it a (dreadful) inhaling, as it boils up.

8 : 67

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ كُلَّمَآ أُلۡقِيَ فِيهَا فَوۡجٞ سَأَلَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ

8. It almost bursts with rage. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: "Did there not come to you a warner?"

9 : 67

قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ

9. They will say: "Yes, indeed a warner (messenger) did come to us, but we rejected (him) saying: "Allāh has not sent down any (revelation), you are only in a gross error."

10 : 67

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

10. And they would say: "If only we had listened (to God's Message) or reasoned (to find out its Truth), we would not have been among the people of the blazing Fire."

11 : 67

فَٱعۡتَرَفُواْ بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسُحۡقٗا لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

11. Thus they confess their sin. So away ^[4] with the inhabitants of the Blazing Fire!

[4]. Away from all good and from Allah’s mercy.

12 : 67

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَأَجۡرٞ كَبِيرٞ

12. Indeed, those in awe (and reverence before) their Lord 'Allāh' though unseen will have forgiveness and a great reward.

13 : 67

وَأَسِرُّواْ قَوۡلَكُمۡ أَوِ ٱجۡهَرُواْ بِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

13. And keep secret your speech or disclose with it; He truly has full Knowledge of what is in the chests (of mankind and jinn).

14 : 67

أَلَا يَعۡلَمُ مَنۡ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلۡخَبِيرُ

14. Does He not know, Who created [every thing]? While He is the Most Subtle, All-Aware.

15 : 67

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ ذَلُولٗا فَٱمۡشُواْ فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُواْ مِن رِّزۡقِهِۦۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ

15. It is He Who made the earth tame for you, so walk in the paths thereof, and eat of His provision - to Him is the Resurrection.

16 : 67

ءَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يَخۡسِفَ بِكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ

16. Do you feel secure from He Who is above the heaven, will not cause the earth to sink with you Then lo! it quakes ^[5]?

[5]. One of the companions of the Prophet said: "I had a slave-girl who tended sheep for me in the direction of Uhud and Al-Jawaaniyaah near Madinah city and I came one day and found that a wolf had taken one of the sheep, and I am a man from the children of Adam, I became angry as they do, but I hit her very hard. So I came to the Prophet peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him and he made me aware of the seriousness of that, so I said: O Messenger of God, shall I free her? He said: "Bring her." So I brought her and he said to her: "Where is Allāh 'God'?" She said: ‘Above the heavens.’ He asked: "Who am I?" She replied: ‘You are Muhammad, God's Messenger.’ The Prophet said: "Free her for she is a Believer.""

17 : 67

أَمۡ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ حَاصِبٗاۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ كَيۡفَ نَذِيرِ

17.  Or do you feel secure that (Allāh), Who is above the heavens, will not send against you a sandstorm? Then you will know how My warning is.

18 : 67

وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

18. And indeed those before them had already denied (my warnings), then how (terrible) was My reproach!

19 : 67

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ صَٰٓفَّٰتٖ وَيَقۡبِضۡنَۚ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءِۭ بَصِيرٌ

19. Have they not seen the birds above them outstretching (their wings) or folding in? None holds them up except the Most Compassionate. Indeed, He [Allāh] is the All-Seer of everything.

20 : 67

أَمَّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ جُندٞ لَّكُمۡ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ إِنِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ

20. Or who is this, the one that he is an army for you to help you from besides the Most Compassionate? The disbelievers are only in delusion.

21 : 67

أَمَّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي يَرۡزُقُكُمۡ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَ رِزۡقَهُۥۚ بَل لَّجُّواْ فِي عُتُوّٖ وَنُفُورٍ

21. Or who is this that will provide for you in case He holds back His provision? Nay, they persist in arrogance and aversion (to the Truth).

22 : 67

أَفَمَن يَمۡشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦٓ أَهۡدَىٰٓ أَمَّن يَمۡشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

22. Then is he who walks fallen on his face better guided, or he who walks upright on a straight Path?

23 : 67

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنشَأَكُمۡ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ

23. Say: "It is He Who has brought you into being, and gave you hearing, sight and intellects - little it is that you give thanks."

24 : 67

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ

24. Say: "It is He Who has dispersed you in the earth, and to Him you will be (all) gathered (for Judgment)."

25 : 67

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

25. They say: "When will this Promise (the Day of Resurrection and Judgment) be (fulfilled) if you are truthful?"

26 : 67

قُلۡ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡعِلۡمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ

26. Say: "The Knowledge (thereof) is only with Allāh, and I am only a plain warner."

27 : 67

فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهُ زُلۡفَةٗ سِيٓـَٔتۡ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ

27. But when they see it (the torment) approaching, the faces of those who disbelieved will turn gloomy, and it will be said: "This is that which you used to call for."

28 : 67

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَهۡلَكَنِيَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِيَ أَوۡ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ

28. Say (Muhammad): "Have you considered that in case Allāh causes me to perish, and those with me, or have Mercy on us, then who will protect the disbelievers from a painful torment."

29 : 67

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَعَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَاۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ

29. Say (Muhammad): "Have you considered that in case Allāh causes me to perish, and those with me, or have Mercy on us, then who will protect the disbelievers from a painful torment."

30 : 67

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَصۡبَحَ مَآؤُكُمۡ غَوۡرٗا فَمَن يَأۡتِيكُم بِمَآءٖ مَّعِينِۭ

30. Say: "Have you seen, if your water becomes sunken (into the ground), then who (else) could bring you (pure) flowing water ^[6]?"

[6]. No one is able to do that other than Almighty Allāh.
