9 : 69

وَجَآءَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَن قَبۡلَهُۥ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلۡخَاطِئَةِ

9. And Pharaoh came, (i.e., after Thamud and Aad) and (those) before him and the overturned cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah - the people of Lot) with (continuous) sin. info

10 : 69

فَعَصَوۡاْ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ أَخۡذَةٗ رَّابِيَةً

10. So they disobeyed their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an exceeding seizure. info

11 : 69

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلۡمَآءُ حَمَلۡنَٰكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡجَارِيَةِ

11. Surely, when the water overflowed, We carried you in the floating Ship [1]. info

[1]. That was constructed by Noah.

لِنَجۡعَلَهَا لَكُمۡ تَذۡكِرَةٗ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٞ وَٰعِيَةٞ

12. That We might make it a Reminder for you, and a conscious ear may be conscious of it. info

13 : 69

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ نَفۡخَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ

13. So when the trumpet is blown with a single blowing, info

وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ

14. And the earth and the mountains are borne up, and then crushed with a single crushing. info

فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ

15. Then, on that Day, the (inevitable) Event (of Resurrection) will occur, info

وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِيَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاهِيَةٞ

16. And the sky will split asunder, so on that Day it will be frail, info

17 : 69

وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةٞ

17. And the angels will be on its borders; and there will carry the Throne of your Lord above them, that day, eight (of them) . info

18 : 69

يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُعۡرَضُونَ لَا تَخۡفَىٰ مِنكُمۡ خَافِيَةٞ

18. That Day you will be brought forth (before your Lord for Judgment) - not a secret of you will be hidden. info

19 : 69

فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ

19. As for him who is given his record (of deeds) in his right hand, he will then say: "Here it is, read my record (of deeds)." info

20 : 69

إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهۡ

20. I knew for sure that I would face my reckoning. info

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

21. So he is in a satisfied livelihood, info

فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ

22. In a lofty paradise, info

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٞ

23. Its picked (fruits) are near at hand: info

كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَآ أَسۡلَفۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَيَّامِ ٱلۡخَالِيَةِ

24. "Eat and drink pleasantly for what you sent forth before you in the days past." info

25 : 69

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ

25. As for him who is given his record (of deeds) in his left hand, he will then say: “Oh, would that I had not been given my record, info

وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهۡ

26. And had not known what (is) my reckoning, info

يَٰلَيۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِيَةَ

27. O would that it (death) had been the final end, info

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهۡۜ

28. (It) has not availed me my money, info

هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلۡطَٰنِيَهۡ

29. Perished from me is my authority. info

خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ

30. "Seize him and shackle him, info

ثُمَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ

31. Then into the Hell burn him, info

ثُمَّ فِي سِلۡسِلَةٖ ذَرۡعُهَا سَبۡعُونَ ذِرَاعٗا فَٱسۡلُكُوهُ

32. Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits, insert him. info

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

33. Surely he used not to believe in Allāh, the Most Great, info

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ

34. And he used not to encourage the feeding of the poor, info

فَلَيۡسَ لَهُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٞ

35. So today he has not here (any) intimate (friend), info
