Translation of the meanings Ayah: (49) Surah: At-Tawbah
وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Parmi eux il en est qui dit : “Donne-moi la permission (de rester) et ne m’expose pas à la tentation !” Or, c’est bien dans la tentation qu’ils sont tombés; et l’Enfer cerne de toutes parts les mécréants . @Corrected

[377] Allusion à quelqu’un (Aljad Ibn Qays) qui donna comme prétexte (pour ne pas sortir) que les belles Byzantines le tenteraient. Plus grande tentation: la désobéissance au Prophète et le refus de partir en guerre.
