SURATU ABAS

Ayah: 1

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
Intumwa (nyakugira amahoro n’impuhwe z’Imana Allah) yaranyinyiriwe mu maso, irirengagiza;

Ayah: 2

أَن جَآءَهُ ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
Bivuye ku kuza kw’impumyi Abdullaahi mwene Ummu Maktuum yaje iyigana ngo iyibaze[1].
[1] Ico gihe, Intumwa yariko irararikira abatware b’Abakorayishi kwinjira mu bwislamu.

Ayah: 3

وَمَا يُدۡرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ
Ntumwa y’Imana! Ni igiki cogutuma umenya ukuri kw’ikimuzanye, kumbure hari n’aho yokwiyeza!

Ayah: 4

أَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰٓ
Canke ikibuka, ukwo kwibuka kukayungura.

أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ
Nayo uwibona ko yikenuye, ntashake kwumvira Imana Allah;

فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ
Ni we witwararitse kwumviriza!

Ayah: 7

وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ
Kandi nta mwikomo kuri wewe mu gihe atokwiyeza.

وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسۡعَىٰ
Nayo uwuje akugana n’umwitwarariko nta ngere, akaza anyaragasa;

وَهُوَ يَخۡشَىٰ
Kandi anatinya ibihano vy'Imana Allah, ashaka ubugororotsi;

فَأَنتَ عَنۡهُ تَلَهَّىٰ
Ni we utitayeho ngo umwumvirize.

Ayah: 11

كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةٞ
Si ukwo namba Ntumwa y’Imana! Mu vy’ukuri iki gisomwa ca Qor’ani, ni urwibutso kuri wewe no ku bandi bose.

فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ
Uwushaka rero aribuka Imana Allah akurikire Qor’ani ntagatifu;

فِي صُحُفٖ مُّكَرَّمَةٖ
Iri ku mpapuro zubahitse;

مَّرۡفُوعَةٖ مُّطَهَّرَةِۭ
Zubashwe, zisukuye, zitagira akanenge;

بِأَيۡدِي سَفَرَةٖ
Zanditswe n’iminwe y’abanditsi bahishurira Intumwa amajambo y’Imana Allah;

كِرَامِۭ بَرَرَةٖ
Abamalayika batagatifu, beranda.

قُتِلَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَآ أَكۡفَرَهُۥ
Umuntu w’umugarariji yaravumwe; mbega yafashwe n’iki gituma yimonogoza mu kugarariza!

مِنۡ أَيِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ
Mbega, ntabona ico Imana Allah Yamuremyemwo!

مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ
Yamuremye mw’ima ry’intanga, Iraheza Iramutegekaniriza ubuzima bwiwe;

ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ
Hanyuma Imutomorera inzira y’iciza n’iy’ikibi;

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقۡبَرَهُۥ
Iraheza Iramwica, Iramushingura mu cubahiro;

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ
Hanyuma igihe Yabishatse, Izomuzura, Imusubize ubuzima, kugira Imuharurire Inamuhembere ivyo yakoze.

كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقۡضِ مَآ أَمَرَهُۥ
Nateshwe ate, arahumba! Ntarakora ivyo Imana yiwe Rurema Yamutegetse mu mabwirizwa.

فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِۦٓ
Maze umuntu nabanze yitegereze ukuntu Twaremye imfungurwa zimubeshejeho.

أَنَّا صَبَبۡنَا ٱلۡمَآءَ صَبّٗا
Si ivy’imbeshere, Twebwe Allah Twarasukiriye amazi y’imvura kw’isi;

ثُمَّ شَقَقۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ شَقّٗا
Hanyuma Twatura isi imigaga ibiterwa bitanguye kugonda;

فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا حَبّٗا
Maze Tuyinagishako intete;

وَعِنَبٗا وَقَضۡبٗا
Imizabibu n’ivyatsi vy’ibitungwa;

وَزَيۡتُونٗا وَنَخۡلٗا
Imizayituni n’itende;

وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلۡبٗا
Amashamba atotahaye azitanye;

وَفَٰكِهَةٗ وَأَبّٗا
Ibiti vy’ivyamwa bitandukanye hamwe n’uburagiriro;

مَّتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
Twaremye ivyo vyose, kugira muryoherwe, mwebwe n’ibitungwa vyanyu, muvyikoreko.

Ayah: 33

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ
Igihe rero humvikanye ijwi nziba-matwi ry’inzamba yo kuzuka;

يَوۡمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مِنۡ أَخِيهِ
Umusi umuntu azohunga mwenewabo kubera intureka;

وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ
Akanahunga nyina wiwe, na se wiwe;

وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ
Umugore wiwe, n’ibibondo vyiwe;

لِكُلِّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ شَأۡنٞ يُغۡنِيهِ
Umuntu wese, kuri uwo musi azoba arajwe ishinga n’ibimuhanze ku gatwe kiwe.

وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّسۡفِرَةٞ
Uwo musi, abemeramana bazosayangana mu maso;

ضَاحِكَةٞ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٞ
Batwengatwenga, akanyamuneza nta ngere kabasya.

وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٞ
Uwo musi, hari n’abandi bazoba buzuye inkungugu mu maso, bajumarariwe;

تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ
Bijiriwe, babuze ayo bacira n’ayo bamira, bagayitse.

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَفَرَةُ ٱلۡفَجَرَةُ
Abo rero, ni bo bagarariji, abagizi ba nabi.
