Ayah: 1

الٓمٓ
1. Alif, Lam, Mym. [Šios raidės yra vienas iš Korano stebuklų ir niekas kitas nežino jų reikšmės, tik Allahas (Vienintelis)].

غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ
2. Romėnai buvo nugalėti.

فِيٓ أَدۡنَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِهِمۡ سَيَغۡلِبُونَ
3. Artimiausioje žemėje (Sirijoje, Irake, Jordanijoje ir Palestinoje) ir jie, po savo nugalėjimo, bus pergalingi.

فِي بِضۡعِ سِنِينَۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَمِنۢ بَعۡدُۚ وَيَوۡمَئِذٖ يَفۡرَحُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
4. Po nuo trijų iki devynerių metų. Sprendimas dėl reikalo, prieš ir po (šių įvykių) yra tik pas Allahą (prieš tai, kai persai nugalėjo romėnus, ir po to, kai persai nugalėjo romėnus). Ir Tą Dieną, tikintieji (t. y. musulmonai) džiūgaus (dėl pergalės, suteiktos Allaho, romėnams prieš persus).

بِنَصۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
5. Su Allaho pagalba. Jis padeda tam, kam Jis nori, ir Jis yra Visa Galingas, Gailestingiausias.
