Ayah: 1

كٓهيعٓصٓ
Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Swad.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ
Obwitsulisio bwetsimbabaasi tsia Nyasaye wuwo Omulesi khumusumba wuwe Zakaria.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيّٗا
Olwa yalanga Nyasaye wuwe Omulesi omulango kwobwifisi.

Ayah: 4

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّي وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَيۡبٗا وَلَمۡ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيّٗا
Naboola mbu: “Nyasaye wanje Omulesi, toto ebikumba bianje bimalile okhuba ebiteshele, ne omurwe kwanje kwakhanga tsimbutsi, ne shindali weyikhabi imbi tawe Nyasaye wanje Omulesi khulwa okhukhusaba.

Ayah: 5

وَإِنِّي خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَٰلِيَ مِن وَرَآءِي وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا فَهَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا
Ne toto esie eyendelanga Abandu banje nindakharulaho, ne omukhasi wanje nomukumba. Kho mbelesia witsa okhutong’a mushilenje shianje okhurula khwiwe.

Ayah: 6

يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِيّٗا
Witsa okhuchelama esie nende okhuchelama olwibulo lwa Yaqub, ne Nyasaye wanje omulesi omukhole omwene abe uchamisia.”

Ayah: 7

يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِيّٗا
Ewe Zakaria, toto efwe khukhwetsanga amakhuwa akomwikhoyo ko (okhwibula) omwana, elira lilie ni Yahya, khushili okhuhelesiakhwo yesiyesi imbeli wuwe elira shinga lino.

Ayah: 8

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِيّٗا
Naboola mbu: “Nyasaye wanje Omulesi, ndakhanyoola endie omwana omukhasi wanje nali omukumba, nasi ndamala okhukofula muno?”

Ayah: 9

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَيۡـٔٗا
Naboola mbu: “Ne endio nilwa kali. Nyasaye wuwo omulesi aboolele mbu: 'Kano ni amangu muno khwisie, ne toto ndakhuloonga khale, ne shiwali eshindu tawe.'"

Ayah: 10

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٖ سَوِيّٗا
Naboola mbu: “Nyasaye wanje omulesi kholela eshimanyisio.” Naboola mbu: “Eshimanyisio shishio ni mbu sholanyala okhuboola nende abandu khutsinyanga tsitaru tawe nawe nolisa omulamu habwene.”

Ayah: 11

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَن سَبِّحُواْ بُكۡرَةٗ وَعَشِيّٗا
Mana narulila abandu baye okhurula mu mihirab, nabasomeselia nomukhono mbu: “Tswenule Nyasaye itsuli nende ingoloobe.”
