AŞ-ŞARH

Ayah: 1

أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ
Oare nu ți-am deschis ție pieptul [o, Mohammed][1]
[1] Ți-am umplut inima cu călăuzire
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ
Și am îndepărtat de la tine povara ta[2],
[2] Prin iertarea oricăror greșeli pe care le-ai făcut înainte. „Povara” se poate referi și la anxietatea resimțită de Profet (pacea și binecuvântarea lui Allah fie asupra sa) la începutul misiunii sale.

ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ
Care-ți apăsa pe spinare?

Și am înălțat pomenirea ta?

Cu adevărat, alături de greu vine și ușorul.

Punându-ți [toată] speranța în Domnul tău!
