14. Love of worldly desires of women, children, accumulated treasures of gold and silver, well bred horses, cattle, and farms, are made attractive to people. That is the pleasure of the life of this world3, but with Allah is the excellent place of return.
3. Righteousness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. If we have food, clothing, home and peace, with these we will be content. Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the Islamic faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
