Ibrāhīm

1. Alif Laam Ra¹. (This is) a Book which We have sent down to you (Muhammad) that you may bring forth the people from the utter darknesses into the light², by their Lord’s Permission, to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy.
1. The Qur’an is made up of such letters from the Arabic alphabet. The Arabs at the time of revelation were the unrivalled masters of the Arabic language and yet when challenged were totally unable to bring anything like the Qur’an. Despite this fact, the inimitable nature of the Qur’an and its divine source, God knows best the meaning of these disjointed Arabic letters.
2. Allah is Light. His Book, the Qur’an, is His light to guide His servants. His messenger, the prophet Muhammad, is the guide to God's light and to the straight Path. If we claim to have faith in Allah and His last and final messenger Muhammad and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, have fellowship with one another, love one another as believers of God, help one another, keep to God's Commandments and shun evil, Allah (God) will purify us from all sin. Mohammad, the messenger of God (ﷺ) said: "Purification is half of the faith, al-Hamdu Lillah (all praise and gratitude is for Allah alone) fills the scale, Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Lillah fill up what is between the heavens and the earth. The prayer is a light, giving charity is proof of one's faith, patience and endurance is a brightness. The Qur'an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free from Hell or destroying themselves by committing sins which will lead to Hell." The Muslim prayer is light, light in the heart, light on the face, light in the grave, light on the day of gathering after the Resurrection, and light that guides you to Allah.
Esegesi in lingua araba:
2. Allah, to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Woe to the deniers from a severe torment (that is promised to them).
Esegesi in lingua araba:
3. Those who prefer this worldly life over the Hereafter life and turn away (people) from God's way (of Islam), and seek to make it seem crooked. These are in a extreme error.

4. We did not send any Messenger but with the language of his own people, so that he may explain (the message) to them clearly. Then Allah leaves (justly) astray whom He wills, and He guides (out of His Favor) whom He wills - for He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
Esegesi in lingua araba:
5. We sent Moses with Our Signs, saying: "Bring forth your people from utter darknesses into light³, and remind them of the Days of Allah." In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for every patient, grateful one.
3. Light has always been a symbol of goodness, knowledge, wisdom, grace, hope, and God's Revelation. By contrast, darkness has been associated with evil, sin, and despair.
Esegesi in lingua araba:

7. Your Lord (Allah) proclaimed: "If you give thanks, I will certainly give you more (favors), but if you are ungrateful and deny, then My chastisement is severe."

9. Have there not come to you the news of those before you, the people of Noah, ‘Aad, Thamud, and those after them? None knows them (now) but Allah. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they put their hands into their mouths and said: "We don't believe that with which you are sent, and we are so doubtful and uncertain as to that to which you call us to."
Esegesi in lingua araba:
10. Their messengers said: "Is there any doubt about Allah (God), Originator of the heavens and the earth? You want to turn us away from what our fathers used to worship. Bring us then some clear authority (of what you say)."
Esegesi in lingua araba:
11. Their messengers said to them: "We are mere mortals like you, but Allah bestows (His) favor (Prophethood) on whomsoever He wills of His servants. We cannot not bring you authority except by Allah’s Permission. And on Allah (alone) should the believers rely."
Esegesi in lingua araba:
12. Why should we not trust in Allah (God) when He has indeed guided us to the (right) ways (of Islam) we follow? We would bear with patience your persecution of us. On Allah (alone) let the faithful put their complete trust⁴.
4. By faith we place our confidence and assurance in Allah. It makes us pray more and seek Allah’s direction and guidance. We can also rely on knowing what has happened in the past as others have walked by faith.
Esegesi in lingua araba:
13. Those who denied (the Truth) said to their messengers: "We will expel you out from our land, or else you shall come back to our faith (and way of life)5." So their Lord (Allah) revealed to them: "We shall certainly destroy the unjust.
5. Satan is the source of persecution, not Allah. And he will cause believers to be tossed into jail, expelled and, possibly, killed. However, believers need not be concerned about death because it will only bring them the crown of life. Satan might hurt their natural bodies; however, he cannot cause them spiritual damage. Despite the intensity of the persecution, it will be brief. Allah retains complete control, and there is a clear beginning and end.
Therefore don’t be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Don't be afraid of those who want to kill you; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only Allah, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. And rest assured that the good outcome is for the righteous who endures the persecution. If we are being persecuted for righteousness sake, and we take it patiently, then we get high marks from Allah —because that is exactly what He wants us to do. That is righteousness. What the enemies of God can do to us? Our paradise and garden are in our hearts wherever we go. They are with us and never leave us. If we are imprisoned, it is seclusion for worship to God. If we are killed, it is martyrdom. If they expel us from our land, it is exploring the world.
Esegesi in lingua araba:
