2. So that Allāh may forgive you for your past and future sin 'i.e., errors if any'², complete His favor upon you, and keep you on a straight Path 'i.e., Islam'.
2. I.e., in worldly misjudgements, not in the conveyance of God's Message.
4. It is He 'Allāh' Who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they may increase in faith along with their faith3. To Allāh belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth. For Allāh is ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.
3. Let us fix our eyes on Allāh, the Creator of universe. When our attention and gaze are on Allāh, He will build our faith. So be encouraged and let your faith arise by reading this Qur’an and by performing righteous deeds. May Allāh support us, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before Him. Allāh cares for his people. Our enemies are scattered when Allāh hepls us. Allāh is promising us that the enemy that oppressed us, the enemy that took our joy away is going to be scattered in His name.
5. That He may admit the believing men and women to Gardens under which rivers flow to abide therein forever and expiate from them their sins. This is, in the Sight of Allāh, a supreme achievement.
6. 'And that' He may chastise the hypocrites men and women, and the polytheists men and women, who think evil thoughts about Allāh. On them is the evil turn. Allah’s Anger is upon them. He has cursed them, and prepared Gehinnom 'Hell' for them. What a miserable destination.
8.We have certainly sent you 'Muhammad'4 being a witness and a bearer of good news and a warner,
4. This Verse appears also in the Torah Isaiah 42:1 to 12, thus: "Verily We have sent you (Muhammad) as a witness, as a bringer of glad tidings and as a warner, and as a protector for the nations. You are my slave and My messenger, and I have named you Al-Mutawakkil (one who depends upon God). You are neither hard-hearted nor of fierce character, nor one who shouts in the markets. You do not return evil for evil, but excuse and forgive. Allāh (God) will not take you unto Him till He guides through you a crocked nation on the right path by causing them to say: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allāh." With such a statement He will cause to open blind eyes, deaf ears and hardened hearts."
Let us now quote the Verses describing the servant of God, the Prophet Muhammad, in Isaiah 42 : 1 to 12
The Servant of God, the Prophet Muhammad:
1. Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.
2. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
3. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4. He will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the people will put their hope.”
5. This is what Allāh, the Lord says—
the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people and life to those who walk on it:
6. “I, Allāh, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
7. To open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8. “My glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images (idols)."
This means that the prophet Muhammad will fight the idols and idolaters.
9. See, the former things have taken place,
and new things I declare; before they spring into being. I announce them to you.”
10. Praise the Lord in a new recitation. "This is a new recitation, a new praise of God from the Qur’an."
11. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voices. "This is in reference to where Muhammad is coming from: let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. (Who is Kedar)? The second son of Ishmael, the direct ancestor of Prophet Muhammad.
Let the people of Sela praise God for joy; (Where Sela is)? Medina—the city of the Prophet, where he is buried today. let them shout from the mountaintops.
12. He will stir up his zeal like a man of war. He will cry, yes, he will shout aloud."This refers to his declaration of war against God's enemies. And Prophet Muhammad fought wars against God's enemies— For Allāh only."
To make clear: Kedar → The lineage of Muhammad. Sela is Medina, where the Prophet Muhammad lived and is buried.
A new revelation (Qur’an). Praise from the top of the mountains. Pilgrimage and calling upon Allāh.
A new law, after the Law of Moses.
Fighting idol worshippers i.e., Muhammad’s mission to remove idolatry. Bringing people from darkness to light. A prophet for the Gentiles, for the whole world.
There is no one else qualifies for this description—only Muhammad. No human being on this planet qualifies for this description except Muhammad.
9. So that you may have Faith in Allāh and His messenger 'Muhammad', aid and honor him; and declare 'Allah’s' Glory morning and evening5.
5. To glorify Allāh in everything we do. To glorify Allāh is not to bestow glory on Allāh or add to His glory, but to recognize and acknowledge His glory. That is to praise Him with your lips, to obey His Word, to pray in Allah’s name only, to perform good deeds, and remain sexual pure by fleeing sexual immorality, glorifying Allāh with your body, to seek the good of others doing everything for the glory of Allāh, to give generously, giving to the needy, to live honorably, letting your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to Allāh in heaven, to be faithful when persecuted, and to face death with faith.
