so that you may bring mankind out of darkness into light by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy.

[1]. See footnote to Qur’an chapter 2: Verse 1.
[2]. If we claim to have faith in Allāh and in His last and final Messenger, Muhammad ﷺ, yet still walk in darkness, we deceive ourselves and do not live by the truth.
But if we walk in the light — loving one another, helping one another, and keeping to Allāh’s commandments while avoiding what He has forbidden — then Allāh will purify us from all sin.
True faith shines through compassion, obedience, and mutual care among believers. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Purification is half of faith.
Saying al-ḥamdu lillāh (all praise and gratitude belong to Allāh) fills the scale.
Subḥān Allāh (Glory be to Allāh) and al-ḥamdu lillāh together fill what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light; charity is a proof of faith; patience is a radiant illumination. The Qur’an is either a proof for you or against you. Every person goes out early in the morning and trades his soul —freeing it through righteousness and charity, or ruining it through idolatry and sin, which lead to the Fire.”
Let us, then, walk in the light of faith —
remembering Allāh often, doing good, and supporting one another in righteousness —
so that Allāh may purify our hearts and guide us to the eternal light of His mercy.
