يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَيَفۡعَلُونَ مَا يُؤۡمَرُونَ۩

50. They fear their Lord [Allāh] above them, and they do whatever they are commanded [20]. info

[20]. When the Prophet ﷺ recited the Qur’an and came upon a chapter containing a verse of prostration (sajdah) like this verse, he would prostrate himself, and those present with him would also prostrate in devotion. During this prostration, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to say: “My face has prostrated to the One Who created it, and fashioned for it hearing and sight by His might and power.
O Allāh, record this prostration for me as a reward, erase from me a sin because of it,
make it a treasure for me with You, and accept it from me, as You accepted it from Your servant David.”
