وَإِذۡ جَعَلۡنَا ٱلۡبَيۡتَ مَثَابَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمۡنٗا وَٱتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ مُصَلّٗىۖ وَعَهِدۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيۡتِيَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلۡعَٰكِفِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ
125. And [remember] when We made the House [the Ka’bah at Makkah] a place of refuge and a sanctuary for the people. And take [O believers] from Abraham's standing-place as a place of prayer. We enjoined Abraham and Ishmael: keep My house pure for those who perform the tawaf [circuit around it], stay there to worship and bow and prostrate [in prayer].
