وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ إِنَّا قَتَلۡنَا ٱلۡمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّنۡهُۚ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ إِلَّا ٱتِّبَاعَ ٱلظَّنِّۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينَۢا

157. And their saying (boastfully): "We (Jews) killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, God's messenger." But they neither killed nor crucified him - it was only made to appear like so to them [72]. Indeed, those who differ regarding him are doubtful about him; they have no real knowledge of it, except (the) following (of) assumption. They certainly did not kill him. info

[72]. I.e., another person was made to assume his likeness, so they mistook him for Jesus.
