يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّ مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدِكُمۡ عَدُوّٗا لَّكُمۡ فَٱحۡذَرُوهُمۡۚ وَإِن تَعۡفُواْ وَتَصۡفَحُواْ وَتَغۡفِرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌ
14. O believers, among your wives and your children there are some who are enemies to you [2]; so beware of them. However, if you pardon, overlook, and forgive [3] - then Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[2]. Since they may turn you away from following the Divine Path.
[3]. Their faults toward you and in worldly matters. Forgiveness is a noble trait.
Surely a sign of great people. Let us forgive them gladly those who treat us badly.
If anger may overtake us let forgiveness elevate us. If we want our sins to be erased
Forgive others and be forgiven.
