إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا
1. When the earth is quaked with its (final) earthquake (for the resurrection and Judgment),

وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا
2. And the earth brought out its burdens [1],
[1]. I.e., its dead bodies and treasures.

وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا
3. And man says: "What is (wrong) with it (in horror)?"

يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَا
4. On that Day, it will narrate its news [2],
[2]. The activities of the people which have taken place on it.

99
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا
5. Because your Lord has inspired her (i.e., earth).

99
يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتٗا لِّيُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
6. On that Day people will come forth in separate groups that they may be shown (the results of) their deeds.

فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرٗا يَرَهُۥ
7. So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,

وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُۥ
8. And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.
