وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةً أَوۡ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ ذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَن يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمۡ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ
135. And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember Allāh and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who forgives sins except Allāh [50]? And [they] do not persist knowingly in what they have done [of sins].
[50]. Allah’s foremost attribute is His forgiving love and mercy, manifested in His patience. He is utterly unique and distinct from the false gods worshiped by pagan nations. In His boundless mercy, Allāh sent His final Messenger, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, to guide humanity to the straight path, so that we may live honorably in this world and attain eternal success in the Hereafter.
