وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةً أَوۡ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ ذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَن يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمۡ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ
135. Those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to themselves (by transgression or lesser sins, etc.), remember Allāh and ask forgiveness for their sins - and who forgives the sins except Allāh [50]? And (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done (of sins).
[50]. Allah’s primary characteristic is His forgiving love and mercy, shown by His patient. Allāh is unique and distinct from the so-called gods of the pagan nations. Allāh showed his great love to us that He sent us his last and final messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, that we might follow the right Path and live honorably in this world and the Hereafter.
