۞ لَّا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعًا عَلِيمًا
148. Allāh does not like offensive evil words [66] to be spoken in public (or private) unless (it be) by one to whom wrong has been done [67]. Allāh is ever All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
[66]. I.e., foul mouthing, being profane, hurling accusations, slandering, backbiting, etc.
[67]. Such a person is allowed to speak out in the court against a wrongdoer.
