Translation of the meanings Ayah: (148) Surah: An-Nisā’
۞ لَّا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعًا عَلِيمًا
148. Allāh does not like offensive evil words66 to be spoken in public (or private) unless (it be) by one to whom wrong has been done67. Allāh is ever All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
66. I.e., foul mouthing, being profane, hurling accusations, slandering, backbiting, etc.
67. Such a person is allowed to speak out in the court against a wrongdoer.
