فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ لَعَنَّٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَا قُلُوبَهُمۡ قَٰسِيَةٗۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلۡكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَنَسُواْ حَظّٗا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنۡهُمۡۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡفَحۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
13. But because of breaking their covenant, We have cursed them [the Jews] and made their hearts hard [as stone]. They distort the meaning [of the revealed] words, taking them out of context, and forgot a portion of what they were reminded of [21]. You [O Prophet] will always see betrayal on their part except for a few of them. So pardon them and overlook. Allāh surely loves the doers of good.
[21]. In the Torah, concerning the coming of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
